Stay tuned for the details of the Chicago area record release as well as a number of out of town gigs in the fall. More news coming soon. For a sneak preview of the entire album, go to TC's Bandcamp page.

5/10/11 - More news to report already but even more to come. It's looking pretty clear that TC will be putting out the solo collection of material this fall, but a few details still need to fall into place before we announce it for real with details. So come back soon. You can check out a few final mixes at the KH Facebook page. Also upcoming is a music show featuring those sparkling songs, with the very folks on hand who recorded them! Details below. Also happy to report that TC has re-convened the Hauser (as-promised). Practices are underway. Summer shows are below and will feature a lot of new material. See you outside or inside this summer.

• 6/3/11 - Quenchers, Fullerton & Western, Chicago. Thomas Comerford with the Father Costume and Jeff Harms. 9pm. 21+. $5. TC will play his solo material accompanied by his band of Ed Crouse, Gregg Ostrom, Justin Petertil and Seth Vanek. 1/21/11 - Happy 2011! TC spent 2010 (musically speaking) working in the studio on a solo record with members of Chicago bands Roommate, Love Raid and a few friends. He also started what was to be another LP with Kaspar Hauser, but had to put practice, recording and shows with KH on hold while touring the country with his 2010 film, The Indian Boundary Line (more shows to come in 2011; check the link). The solo record, mostly acoustic in nature and tentatively entitled Archive + Spiral, will be mixed in February with Jeremy Lemos and Chris Connelly. Release details tba. To preview rough mixes of two songs from the record, go to KH's myspace page. There are also tentative plans for KH reconvening to record more songs and play a show in May-June.

5/28/10 - Another long pause, but that's good -- too busy to write silly updates. We just played a show at the Empty Bottle this WED at the invitation of HEAVEmedia. We showed off our newest configuration, in which Matt has moved to guitar and our friend John Roeser is playing the bass guitar. Good times. So ... this lineup begins recording this weekend -- 5 new rock songs with our friend Luke Tweedy at the boards. We'll be developing more new material this summer and hit the studio later in the fall. ALSO, I've been recording some more acoustic-oriented songs with members of Roommate and Love Raid. Lots of music happening. And last but not least, I should mention that KH will be celebrating 10 years as a live performing "thing" in July. Details below.

• 7/30/10 - KH10!!!! Quenchers, Fullerton & Western, Chicago. w/Psychic Friends, Last Cannibals, Stanley Ross, June Panic & June Panic's Wife. 8pm. 21+. $10. The KH set will be graced by a number of current and former contributers, as we share the stage with our friends old and new. Should be a great night of rock music.

2/21/10 - Sorry for the long delay between updates. TC has been very busy completing his new film, The Indian Boundary Line, which premiered in Chicago a few weeks ago to a sellout crowd and a great response. Stay tuned for more screenings in Chitown and elsewhere which will be posted at the link. Meantime, new songs are what TC and KH are all about, as he wrote a lot of new material last year. So, while 2010 looks to be a little quieter on the live show front, it'll be very busy on the studio front. More updates coming soon. But there will be shows, including a return to the Whistler in a few!

• 3/4/10 - The Whistler, 2421 North Milwaukee, Chicago. w/Bowery Boy Blue (NYC). 9pm. 21+. FREE! Taking a page from the Neil Young playbook, the KH set will begin with some acoustic songs, then switch gears to make electric, ragged glory about halfway through.

• 10/29/09 - Quenchers, Fullerton & Western, Chicago. w/Bill Fox and Will Phalen. 9pm. 21+. $5. Bill Fox is not to be missed -- for more info on this great songwriter, click here. KH will play some acoustic songs and some full-on electric.

6/12/09 - Things are pretty busy with outside projects this summer, but we're managing a few KH shows. Matt is playing shows with Cool Devices and Phantom Works. T.C. has started a new project with Chris Sherman (Fruit Bats/Judy Green) called Easter Island -- a few shows happening this summer for that. We got a lot of good press for The Sons over the course of the winter and spring. Check the myspace blog for a complete collection or check our front page for a few choice excerpts. Meantime, T.C. has been writing a bunch of new songs some of which should be making their appearance live this summer via Easter Island and in the fall via KH.
